It's that time of the year when I make the transition from one senior class to the next one. I am so grateful for each student from the class of 2025 who chose me for their portrait sessions... especially those who had multiple sessions that gave us the momentum to build upon. Now I get to use what I have been practicing this past year on a new group of seniors. One of the areas that I continue to focus on is color management in my portraits as illustrated in the image above. Lacee is very precise with her makeup and the outfits that she uses in our sessions so I want to be sure that I give her consistent color management in each session. That way, she could hang multiple photos from that session side by side and they would be harmonious in their color schemes. Looking at each of the photos in this image, you can see how professional her makeup looks and her skin tones are consistent in each image.
If you are going to spend money to buy nice outfits and take the time to get your makeup and nails ready for your photo session, then as your photographer, it is my responsibility to make sure that you are rewarded with portraits that reflect that same level of detail. Every photographer starts out at the beginning level and we have to learn our craft and develop our style. As your photographer, I promise you that I am always looking for ways to improve what I can offer you. Ready to get started?
